The puzzling dungeons and the rewarding feeling after beating said dungeons is one that will stay with gamers long after the system has been turned off. What is there to say about The Legend of Zelda that has yet to be said? From the first ground-breaking game to the latest entry into the series, LoZ has thoroughly wowed and amazed gamers for the past quarter-century. Over all the game is a fantastic and cheap pick up for PlayStation owners but I would recommend it's sequel as if your more interested in multiplayer than playing a shooter's campaign.Īh, The Legend of Zelda. With an abundance of awesome weapons reminiscent of Insomniacs other popular series "Ratchet & Clank" except much more violent. The game is an early PlayStation 3 release and for most owners back in the system's early days it was a must have for PlayStation 3 gamers. The out come is bleak as you see the Chimera decimate the human race. Resistance: Fall of Man takes place in an alternate version of WW2 as you play as Nathan Hale an Allied Forces solider sent Europe with a other soldiers to take down a new threat, The Chimera which are sort of like aliens but they aren't, they're more like mutants the came from Russia. Sure the games on a technical level deal with similar themes such as the end of the world, but gameplay wise they couldn't be more different, Gears of War being an over the shoulder third person shooter while Resistance is a first person shooter more like Valve's Half-Life series but then Microsoft fan-boys wouldn't be able to put down Resistance otherwise. ![]() ![]() Now the first rivalry is understandable, both Halo and Call of Duty are the best controlled and designed First Person Shooters on the Xbox 360 but when it comes to Gears and Resistance the argument seems a bit strange. This generation of the 360, PS3, and Wii the two main rivalries, other than the consoles themselves, has been Halo vs. making the argument seem like black and white or Coke and Pepsi. Then we had rivalries in fighting games with Street Fighter, Tekken, and DoA gamers always arguing over which has the best controls, characters etc. Sonic, during the PS1 era Crash Bandicoot was thrown into the mix. During the days of NES and Sega Genesis it was Mario vs. It's funny how rivalries tend to pop up generation to generation in the world of video games.
